Bendsneyder will start from the eighth row in Malaysia

Bo Bendsneyder finished the tight qualifying day in 22nd place. The Dutch rider showed his performance during qualifying. Despite improving his feeling on the track, he did not make it through to Q2. During qualifying, while doing his fastest lap, he had to overtake a rider and his lap time was affected. Despite the result Bendsneyder is hopeful for the race.

Bo Bendsneyder #64 (P22)
“Today during FP3 we improved a bit the feeling, we made a step forward, but it wasn’t enough to make it into Q2. Then in Q1 we made a further improvement, but unfortunately in my best lap I had to overtake a rider and I lost three to five tenths in one of the sectors. The problem we have on this track is that we have to do the time during the first two laps of the tyre, because after that the tyre drops a little bit and it is difficult to improve. I managed to do the lap time, but we could have been much faster. That’s the way things are and we have to accept it, looking forward to have a good race tomorrow”.
